Fishing is about stories and the annals of Muskie fishing are filled with countless tales of men who have forsaken lives of comfort and safety to accept a single challenge...

More cautious men fear the Muskie. With a long, immensely powerful jaw and row upon row of razor-sharp, inch-long teeth, Muskie are lurking, solitary predators known to have eaten dogs, ducks, and geese.

Over the centuries the Muskie has become one of the most sought after fish in the freshwaters of North America. Almost all Muskie are found in the northern lakes. However, in one lake Muskie can be hunted year round.

Cave Run Lake, Kentucky, is the setting for one of the greatest fish stories ever told. Except this one is actually true! It is the story of Man and Muskie, and ultimately what has become an inseparable, symbiotic relationship in which both the hunter and the hunted rely on each other for survival.  Meet the characters.
